welcome, I'm glad you're here
Hillary Thomas, LCSW
As a therapist, I work relationally, examining how past informs present, to help you better connect with yourself and others. I help people who hold themselves back let go and feel good about who they truly are.

"Hello, I'm Hillary!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #77273) located in West Los Angeles, CA and online. How it Works
Navigate Your Path
in Therapy
01
Initial Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation. During this phone or virtual session, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, and go over any questions.
02
Develop Understanding
After the consultation, should you choose to make an appointment, we'll spend more time understanding why you’re here and begin to create a plan to address your specific challenges.
03
Build Strength
As sessions continue, we’ll move from past into present. We’ll take what we’ve learned about how you see the world and hold this overlay to the present moment. Along the way, we’ll uncover tools and encouragement to keep going.
04
Feel Balance
While life is never frictionless, in later therapy sessions, you’ll experience increased trust with yourself. You’ll have confidence and feel more grounded as you move forward.
My Specialities
-
How do the stories you carry play a role in shaping you? Negative beliefs (conscious or unconscious) and past experiences can live inside you and hold you back. Don’t let your low self-esteem take over. Therapy can be a great opportunity to examine your relationship with yourself. We can develop your self-compassion so you can explore, expand, and become your most free.
-
Bi+ is an umbrella term that is inclusive of different kinds of attractions to people with a range of gender identities. Bi+ includes the pansexual, m-spec, and non-monosexual communities. Although we are a majority, we can be an invisible majority. Bi+ community can have their own challenges coming out, feeling ownership in the Bi+ identity, and feeling a larger sense of belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy for the broader LGBTQ+ population can include helping you show up in the world as your full self, making progress with personal and relational goals, and feeling a sense of self-integration and peace.
-
Do you feel like your anxiety is holding you back? Do you feel challenged by relationships because it's difficult to show up as yourself, be vulnerable, or assertive? Do you find yourself playing small to fit others’ expectations? You may have a pattern of losing yourself in relationships (friends, family, or romantic) and want to explore why this happens. Imagine feeling grounded in your sense of self and confident in your ability to be your full self with everyone.
